Secure Your Place in Bran Symondson's Studio

Bran Symondson accepts only a limited number of private commissions each year.

Each commission is entirely bespoke, offering collectors, veterans, military units, organisations and private clients the rare opportunity to collaborate directly with Bran to create a one-of-a-kind museum-quality artwork that reflects a personal story, legacy or vision.

Whether commemorating distinguished military service, creating a piece for a charity auction, celebrating a retirement, honouring a loved one, marking a significant achievement or creating an important centrepiece for a private collection, every commission is individually conceived and handcrafted.

No two artworks are ever the same.

The Commission Process

Following registration, Bran and the studio will begin developing your private commission through a series of design consultations.

Together we will establish:

• Choice of weapon platform or military object (subject to local legislation)
• Overall artistic direction
• Personal story and symbolism
• Materials and finishes
• Currency, butterflies or mixed-media compositions
• Bespoke handcrafted glass bullets containing meaningful materials
• Display options including wall-mounted, freestanding or museum plinth installations
• Installation requirements and project timeline

Every decision is made collaboratively to ensure the finished work becomes a true legacy piece.

Completely Bespoke

Almost every element can be personalised, including:

• Choice of weapon platform
• Gold-plating and precious metal finishes
• World currencies
• Preserved butterflies
• Military maps
• Unit insignia
• Personal memorabilia
• Handwritten letters

Veteran & Military Commissions

Many of Bran's most important commissions commemorate military careers.

Having served himself, Bran understands the significance of preserving a soldier's story with authenticity and respect.

The studio regularly creates retirement gifts, regimental presentations, veteran commemorations and private legacy pieces, carefully incorporating meaningful materials from deployments, operational theatres and personal milestones.

These commissions become lasting tributes that preserve a remarkable career for generations to come.

Commission Registration

Private commissions are accepted strictly on a first-come, first-served basis (Approval of Narrative) 

A registration deposit of £5,500 GBP secures your place within Bran's production schedule.

Upon receipt of the deposit, the studio will:

• Reserve dedicated production time
• Begin developing your commission brief
• Schedule consultation meetings
• Begin sourcing specialist materials
• Coordinate international logistics where required
• Commence long-term project planning

As Bran's commissions often require extensive sourcing, specialist craftsmanship and international production, projects are frequently planned many months—or even years—in advance.

Investment

Final commission pricing varies according to:

• Weapon platform
• Size and complexity
• Materials selected
• Display configuration
• International production requirements
• Precious metal finishes
• Specialist fabrication

Your £5,500 registration deposit forms part of the overall commission value and is deducted from the final balance.

The remaining balance is typically structured across agreed milestone payments throughout the project.

Terms & Conditions

To register a private commission, a Commission Registration Fee of £5,500 GBP is required.

This secures your exclusive place within Bran Symondson's production schedule and allows the studio to begin the creative development process, including project planning, consultations, scheduling, preliminary sourcing, logistical preparation, and the reservation of dedicated studio time.

We appreciate that commissioning a bespoke artwork is an important decision. For this reason, clients are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date the Commission Registration Fee is received.

Should you decide not to proceed within this period, your registration fee will be refunded in full.

After the 14-day period has expired, the Commission Registration Fee becomes non-refundable, as work will have commenced behind the scenes. This includes creative development, scheduling, material research, supplier engagement, international logistical planning, and the reservation of Bran's production time.

Payment Schedule

The Commission Registration Fee forms part of the total commission value and will be deducted from the final balance.

The remaining balance is typically structured across agreed milestone payments throughout the commission, allowing the project to progress in line with the agreed production schedule.

Cancellation

If, after the 14-day cooling-off period, the client chooses to withdraw from the commission or fails to meet the agreed payment schedule, the project will be paused, and no further production work will take place until the account is brought up to date.

The Commission Registration Fee will remain non-refundable in recognition of the artist's allocated time, studio resources, creative development, planning, and costs already incurred.
