Everest AK-47 - ThruDark Collaboration
£275.00
Artwork: "Everest – The Ascent"
This extraordinary AK-47 is adorned with authentic Nepalese banknotes, each note depicting the country’s rich wildlife — celebrating the harmony between nature and humanity found in the Himalayas. Conceived following a monumental expedition to Mount Everest, the artwork reflects both the physical and spiritual journey undertaken by those who climbed to the world’s highest peak. It embodies the triumph of overcoming adversity through unity, resilience, and leadership.
Inside the 7.62mm glass bullets lie sacred relics of Nepal and Everest: fragments of prayer flags, a kata scarf, a piece of consecrated Tibetan prayer shawl, rope and tent remnants from high-altitude camps, and even a summit rock from the 2024 North Side expedition. Together, they form a powerful reminder that from conflict can rise compassion and camaraderie — and that even instruments of war can be transformed into enduring symbols of peace.

ThruDark: Mission Everest
In May 2025, ThruDark co-founder and former Special Forces operator Anthony ‘Staz’ Stazicker led a team of four British military veterans on a record-breaking expedition — travelling from London to the summit of Mount Everest and back in just seven days. The mission aimed to raise £1 million for veterans’ and armed forces charities, including Scotty’s Little Soldiers, while redefining what is possible in high-altitude mountaineering.
Combining elite endurance, cutting-edge science, and sustainable climbing practices, Mission: Everest became a bold statement for courage, resilience, and unity. The team used hypoxic training, pre-acclimatisation, and minimal environmental impact strategies, ensuring fair treatment and equal equipment for all Sherpa guides.
Inspired by this extraordinary feat, artist Bran Symondson was commissioned by ThruDark to create a bespoke AK-47 sculpture titled “Everest – The Ascent.” The artwork captures the spirit of the expedition — a transformation of struggle into strength — celebrating human endurance, leadership, and the shared purpose of supporting those who have served.
